Story
Max Davies lost his life to suicide when just 22 year of age. The Mindstep Foundation charity was established in Max’s memory to raise awareness, support those suffering with their mental health and to fund research into preventing suicide, which takes 11 young male lives every day in the UK alone.
In December Max would have been 30 years old and we have set ourselves a target to raise £30k for Mindstep this year. In June Max’s father Lloyd and nine friends will be cycling 250 miles from Max’s hometown in Monmouth in Wales, to Canterbury in Kent, where Max went to university.
Every penny raised for the Mindstep Foundation on this challenge will support vital but underfunded research at the University of Glasgow to better understand and prevent suicide.
Thank you to the team taking part and to everyone involved in helping us to solve this terrible pandemic that is so virulent amongst our young men.
Please donate today and help us to help save lives. Thank you.

The Mindstep Foundation has been established in memory of Max Davies, who tragically died by suicide in 2018 at the age of 22. Mindstep funds postgraduate research at the University of Glasgow into the causes of suicide and interventions for those at risk.
By funding research into the causes of suicide, and working to raise awareness of both the warning signs and consequences of mental health conditions going untreated, the Mindstep Foundation aims to break the stigma attached to admitting, confronting and dealing with mental health issues.
