Story

The Challenge

I will publish one blog post per day for 365 days. You can read my blog at ShimmyShim.com/blog

The topic is art related: my own work in progress and anything connected to my art practice. How I navigate my way through to an end point, how I decide on an end point and 'what is the point' will be discussed 😊

Why is Macmillan worth supporting?

Every 2 minutes, someone in the UK is diagnosed with cancer. I've been one of them and so have at least 5 members of my close family.

Macmillan was recommended to me when I got breast cancer and they even had a counsellor on site made available to me. They helped me financially and with worries about treatment side affects.

Their professionalism was outstanding, especially in their patience and listening skills on the phone.

I then recommended them to others who had cancer challenges.

They are really, really good. Life savers even, and I want to help in return.
