Story
Three Days. Three Marathons. One Cause.
Our family’s world was turned upside down when my dad, David , was diagnosed with Motor Neurons Disease (MND). MND is a cruel and devastating disease that progressively takes away a person’s ability to walk, talk, eat and breathe. There is currently no cure, and no family is ever prepared to hear those words.
To show our love and support for David, and to help others affected by this devastating disease, five of us are taking on the challenge of walking 78 miles from Northallerton to the Etihad Stadium over just three days—the equivalent of three marathons in three consecutive days.
The team taking on this challenge is:
* Jade – David’s daughter
* John
* Elliot
* Lee
* Daniel
This challenge will push us physically and mentally to our limits, but it’s nothing compared to the courage David shows every single day.
We’re walking every mile for David and for every family whose lives have been affected by MND. Every donation, no matter how big or small, will help support those living with Motor Neurons Disease and fund vital research in the hope that one day a cure will be found.
If you’re unable to donate, please consider sharing our fundraiser. Your support, encouragement and kindness mean more than words can express.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for standing with us and helping us turn every step into hope.
78 miles. Three days. Five walkers. One mission. For David.
