Story
Hi All,
Myself, and a group of mates are trying to make a difference and raise some money for the Lewy Body Society by completing the National Three Peaks challenge this June. Any donations towards this great cause would be greatly appreciated and would go a long way with the charity. Thank you in advance to everyone who donates or shares this just giving link, it means the world!
We’ll be taking on the challenge on the 20th June 2025 and are aiming to complete it within the tough task of 24 hours.
I’ll be joined by Sion Corwas, Dave, Jake, Peredur, Tom Pye, Tom Rowlands, Steffan and Ben Jones.
WHY ARE WE DOING IT?…
if you are like me you’ve probably never heard of Lewy Body Dementia until now, unfortunately my Mum has been diagnosed with it and although I don’t fully understand it or what it’s like, I know how extremely difficult it is going about day to day life with it. My mum is one of the most important people in my life and does so much for me, so it feels right to give something back and raise money for this cause, who can hopefully try and find a cure in the future.
A bit about Lewy Body Society:
The Lewy Body Society was founded in 2006 to support research into Lewy body dementia and to raise awareness of the disease. We aim to educate the public, the medical professions and those in decision-making positions about the disease, which unfortunately is still not well known.
We are the only charity in the UK – and the first in Europe – dedicated exclusively to Lewy body dementia.
Lewy body dementia is the second most common type of neurodegenerative dementia in older people. At least 10-15% of all people who live with dementia have Lewy body dementia.
We campaign to raise awareness of Lewy body dementia in those who need to understand the disease and its impact – people living with Lewy body dementia and those who can make a difference to their futures.
We fundraise to research new treatments and potential cures.
once again thank you from me and the lads, any donations are greatly appreciated!
