Story
In Memory of Kieran Davenport
In September 2025, we lost our much-loved colleague and friend, Kieran Davenport.
Kieran was a genuinely great person—kind, funny, generous with his time and always ready to take on a new challenge. He meant an enormous amount to his family, friends, colleagues and everyone fortunate enough to know him, and he is deeply missed by us all.
Kieran had a real love for the mountains, the outdoors and the sense of achievement that comes from pushing yourself beyond what you thought was possible. In 2025, Kieran completed the National Three Peaks Challenge, climbing Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon—an achievement that reflected his determination, adventurous spirit and love of a challenge.
This year, we will be taking on the same challenge in his memory.
It will be physically demanding, but it will also be an enormous honour. We cannot think of a more fitting way to celebrate Kieran’s life, remember the good times we shared with him and bring together his family, friends and colleagues in tribute to a truly special person.
We are raising money for the Llanberis Mountain Rescue Team, a volunteer-led organisation that carries out vital rescue work across Snowdon and the surrounding mountains. Their volunteers give their time, skills and courage to help people in some of the most difficult circumstances imaginable. The work they do is invaluable, and this challenge gives us the opportunity to support them so they can continue helping others when they are needed most.
Kieran’s family will be a very important part of this challenge and the wider tribute to him. We hope it will be a day filled not only with determination and reflection, but also with warmth, shared memories and a real sense of togetherness.
We would love as many people as possible to be part of this tribute. You can support us by taking part in the challenge, joining us along the way, coming along to encourage the team, sharing this page, donating or simply taking a moment to remember such a great guy.
Every donation, message of support and person who gets involved will help us celebrate Kieran’s life and show just how much he was—and always will be—loved by his family, friends and colleagues.
This challenge is for you, Kieran.
Llanberis Mountain Rescue Team is one of the busiest in the UK with an annual callout rate of over 220 incidents. Based in and around the Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) area the team is made up of about 50 volunteers from all walks of life who are all experienced mountaineers. As a registered charity, we rely entirely on your donations to carry out the work we do in helping other mountain users.
