Story
The Huntington's Disease Association supports anyone who is affected by Huntington's disease across England and Wales. We pursue the best possible care; provide training & advice to families and professionals; raise awareness, and promote research towards better treatment and care.
This is a fundraising challenge that the 3 of us are doing to remember our close and very loved friend Liv. Liv unfortunately took her own life last year due to the mental battles she was facing. Liv was one of a kind, she’d always put you before herself and would do anything to help you. She was also blessed with the most precious heart anyone could have. Her smile would light up the darkest room, her laugh would bring a beat of happiness, and her energy would infect all around her.
We are doing the Yorkshire 3 Peaks challenge to raise money for the Huntingtons Disease Association as this was the charity that brought us all together. We are also trying to boost the support network for young people impacted by Huntington’s to help people get through the dark time.
We are all impacted by Huntingtons in some way and have experience of it in different ways. The HDA have provided us all with so much support, it’s so important to us to give back.
We hope to make Liv proud on this challenge, by doing what she loved, spending time with friends and raising awareness of HD
