The Three Peaks Challenge · 18 July 2025

We are a charity based in Brighton and Hove devoted to helping rough sleepers and homeless people through the provision of support, advocacy, clothing and self-care items. With your help we can assist some of the most vulnerable during their time of greatest need.

Story

We are taking on the Three Peaks Challenge in memory of our much loved brother and son Alex, whilst raising vital funds for a charity he was so passionate about and dedicated much of his time to; Knight Support.

Hi everyone,

On July 18th Jay and I, along with our amazing Dad Colin, are taking on the Three Peaks Challenge - climbing the highest mountains in Scotland (Ben Nevis), England (Scafell pike) and Wales (Snowdon) over a 24 hour period.

We’re doing it in loving memory of our brother and son Alex, and raising crucial funds for Knight Support in the process. Knight Support is a charity close to our hearts and we hope to continue Alex’s legacy with this incredible charity and highlighting the amazing work they do.

About Alex:

As lots of you will already know, Alex was truly one of a kind…. funny, big hearted and full of life. He was loved beyond words, and his loss has left an unimaginable hole in all our lives. The enormity of how he could light up a room with his presence, is only rivalled by the longing we feel in his absence. We will miss him always.

He will be forever 42 and as we summit Snowdon, the 3rd and final peak of our challenge, the sun will be rising on the day of Alex’s 44th Birthday (19th July).

This challenge is our way of honouring his memory, carrying his name to the highest peaks in the UK, and turning our grief into purpose.

Why Knight Support?

Alex had so much empathy for others, especially those struggling. Knight Support helps the homeless and vulnerable rough sleepers in Brighton & Hove, with essentials like food, clothing, emotional support and outreach services. They do this with no government funding - just passion, compassion and public donations. They give hope where it’s needed most and supporting them feels like something Alex would be so proud of.

What’s involved?

This is an independent 3 Peaks Challenge, we are taking on the event ourselves, we are taking care of all planning, logistics, navigation and mountaineering without any additional support.

Rich & Jay - walking every step together for our brother.

Dad/Colin - being our man on the ground and driving us across the country to complete the challenge.

Help us make a difference for Knight Support in memory of Alex. If you’re able to donate, however big or small, we’d be incredibly grateful.

Thank you so much

Rich, Jay and Colin x
