3 Peaks for Route 61 🏔️🏔️🏔️

David Young is raising money for Route 61 (International)

3 Peaks Challenge · 20 August 2025

We aim to embody God’s love by strengthening family ties in underprivileged areas. We empower individuals and families to thrive and overcome poverty through education, mentorship and sustainable community development.

Story

Four men are climbing the UK's highest mountains to make sure no child grows up feeling forgotten.

Starting 20th August, David, Paul, Josh, and Mark will take on the challenge of the UK's tallest peaks: Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon (Yr Wyddfa). It's a huge physical test, but the reason behind it matters even more.

Our team will face steep climbs and long hours. What these children face lasts far longer, and they face it alone. Many end up in government-run institutions after being removed from unsafe homes or surviving on the streets.

These places are basic, with rows of metal beds, bare walls, and little else. Staff are stretched so thin that children can go for days without a caring conversation. There's food and a roof, but no one notices when they feel afraid or reminds them of their worth. That's where Route 61 comes in. Working alongside the juvenile justice system, they give these vulnerable children something many have never known: care, encouragement and the sense of family restoration. Your donation makes this possible.

How can you help?

Our goal is to raise £1 for every meter climbed. That's a total of £3,408. Every pound you donate transforms another step into a lifeline for a child who feels forgotten.

⛰️ Help David, Paul, Josh and Mark reach the summit. Give today and lift a child out of loneliness.

We believe no child should grow up feeling alone.
