Story
On May 22nd 2026, instead of looking forward to my usual Friday pizza/film night with my children, I will be crammed into a minibus with fellow work colleagues, parents and friends of St Nick's to attempt the National 3 Peaks Challenge!
This is a daunting challenge, but I will have a smile on my face the whole way as I am doing it for the amazing pupils at St Nicholas Special School, in order to help raise £20,000 for a new playground.
For children with complex learning needs, a playground is a vital outdoor classroom. Right now, theirs is tired and inaccessible. They need a safe, sensory space, and I want to help build it.
The Mission: Climb the highest mountains in Scotland (Ben Nevis), England (Scafell Pike), and Wales (Snowdon) in just 24 hours.
That means 3,000m of climbing, 462 miles of driving, and zero sleep!!
Transparency on Funds: To ensure safety, we have hired professional guides. Please note that a small portion of funds raised will go towards these essential event costs, but the vast majority goes directly to the school project.
My target is £1,000. Please donate to support this amazing cause – each one of your contributions, whether big or small, will take us a step closer to reaching our target :)
Thank you for your help!
Rosie
