Story
Hi, I’m Lucy
This year I’m turning 40… but it will also be 4 years since my sisters and I lost our dad ❤️
Instead of having a big birthday celebration, I wanted to do something meaningful to mark it… so I’ve decided to take on 40 challenges, in my 40th year, in Dad’s memory to raise money for Isabel Hospice.
Isabel Hospice support people and their families through some of the hardest moments imaginable, providing care, dignity and support when it’s needed most. They were certainly there for my family.
And sadly, the reality is, hospices like this rely heavily on donations, and funding pressures are making their work even harder. Services are already having to be cut, and in some cases beds and support are being limited - at a time when more families than ever need them.
Over the next year, I’ll be pushing myself with challenges like marathons, long-distance cycling, swims… even things like the 3 Peaks in 24 hours and a 70.3 Ironman… I may even have a go at skydiving!
And I won’t be doing it all alone - I’ll be roping in as many friends and family as I can along the way.
Some challenges I’m excited for… some, well let’s see how it goes.
But every single one is for a reason!
Anything you can give makes a real difference.
And whether you donate, share, or just follow along - thank you so much for your support ❤️
