👣 44 Miles for 40 Years of Sense Scotland 👣

Our dedicated team from Urquhart Opticians, Shaw Eyecare, Purcell Opticians & Kidner Opticians are taking on a huge challenge — walking the full 44-mile River Ayr Way in just one day!

We’re doing this in support of Sense Scotland, an incredible charity that’s been championing the rights and lives of children, young people, and adults with complex communication needs for 40 years. Sense provides vital services — from day care and supported living to arts programmes and outdoor activities — helping individuals and families live full, connected lives.

This cause is especially close to our hearts as an opticians group. Communication and connection are at the core of what we do, and we’re proud to walk in solidarity with those who face daily challenges in expressing themselves.

To mark Sense Scotland’s 40th anniversary, our goal is to raise £4,400 for our 44-mile trek.
