On January the 10th this year our beautiful boy Leo became very unwell..

He had a 12 minute seizure in A and E after having a high temperature and not seeming himself.

After having extensive testing we were told he had bacterial meningitis,pneumonia and a abcess on the brain. Leo fought from the beginning as he has done from the minute he was born.. He got himself out of high dependency in 2 weeks He powered through and continued to smile and giggle and show us his love even in those really touch and go times.

Unfortunately Leo's abcess took a long time to shrink and sadly grew in size so a lot more tests and a total of 14 weeks on antibiotics and in and out of St peters hospital for 18 weeks..

But he beat it !!

His abcess is now so small they have no more need for further treatment.

Apart from a lot of follow up treatments ie physio, development checks,audiology and opthalmology he is back to his day to day of being the happiest baby boy and playing and giggling with his sister.

Leo had his immunisations for meningitis this covered 13 different strains and sadly he caught a different one. Because of this we want to help fund for further research to stop this happening to other families.
