Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit the JustGiving page of the 50in50 Charity Fitness Challenge 2025.

So ... here we are again! Round 4 of the 50in50 Challenge and bigger and better than ever to help to support the Maggie's Centres which provide the most incredible support for people living with cancer and their families with all kinds of advice and support at such a critical and challenging time.

The challenge is called 50in50 for a reason: 50 fitness sessions in 50 days. The squad chose choose and mix and match different workouts: strength work, gym sessions, HIIT, aerobic, spin, swimming, running, skiing etc.) starting January 4th 2025. Day 50 is February 22nd.

First started in 2022 with just 5 people, raising around £1,000, in 2024 things took off a little, with the squad growing to an incredible 200 people from around 40 cities, across 17 countries and 4 continents taking part... as well as some fabulous corporate partners. And we raised a fantastic £16,000. In total, we have raised nearly £30,000!

This year, as every year our goal is to get more people involved, build a stronger community , getting up and active, supporting, motivating (& consoling!) one another, raising more money for this incredible cause, and getting fit and healthy and having a bit of fun along the way. And this year is no different. Our website at www.50in50challenge.com will soon be up and running and you can follow us on Insta @50in50_challenge

A little bit more about Maggie's ... the centres offer free practical, emotional and social support to anyone affected by cancer and their families and friends. Help is offered to anyone with any type of cancer and people can drop-in any time.  The Centres are warm, welcoming places for people to meet others or sit quietly with a cup of tea, but also offers the support of a full team of qualified professionals to help people find their way through the difficult cancer journey.

Maggie's Manchester alone receives over 13,000 visits a year from people facing cancer and their loved ones, which is why it is so important to support Maggie's so people effected by cancer can continue to get the help and support they need. A few of us have visited the Centre in Manchester and it's a genuinely special place! Knowing the work they do, it is a real passion to help them in any small way we can.

Thanks for reading and for your support. Its massively appreciated.
