Story

On the 27th - 30th of October there will be 6 members of 54 squadron. who are currently deployed in the Caribbean conducting the 4x4x48 running challenge for charity. This challenge consists of running 4 miles every 4 hours for 48 hours.

We are doing this charity event in aid of our good mate and fellow 1 Troop member, Tom Carr. Tom was deployed with us in the Caribbean but unfortunately had to be rushed home only 6 weeks after we had left as he was diagnosed with testicular cancer.

He has fought and won his battle with cancer so we think it is only right that we raise money for a charity that has helped him so much during his journey to being cancer free. This charity is called ‘Checkemlads’ and it helps men all across the uk feel like they are not alone when going through this rough period in their life and gives them a chance to talk and meet with other blokes who have been through the same thing. 100% of all proceeds will go to this charity so please if you can spare just a few quid it would mean a lot. To find the ‘JustGiving’’ please check this Instagram accounts highlights.

Also every 4 mile run we will post a video so you won't miss a thing out in the Barbados Heat.

Thank you! #checkemlads
