On the 26th of April, 2026, I will be participating in one of the biggest marathons in the world, the London Marathon. My goal is to raise £2,000 for HCPT and Group 580. Since 1956, HCPT has been dedicated to providing life-changing week-long pilgrimage holidays to Lourdes, France, for disabled and disadvantaged individuals. This charity is rooted in the Catholic faith and embodies a vision of "changing lives through pilgrimage, sharing God's gifts of love, friendship and joy." People from all walks of life are welcomed, regardless of their faith or beliefs.

Group 580 is a summer group based in the Northeast Region that will embark on its third journey to Lourdes in 2026. We take children and adults with disabilities as well as those with social and emotional needs to experience a week at Hosanna House during the summer. Our group is entirely run by volunteers who generously dedicate their time to support and care for those we accompany along with their families.

The cost for each beneficiary is approximately £1,000, which Group 580 covers entirely. The funds raised through this marathon will directly support our journey to Lourdes this summer. Your donations will ensure that our Summer Group can offer places to families and provide an incredible opportunity for them to travel with such an amazing community of people.
