After losing someone we cared about to their mental health back in 2017 and our personal links to Colchester Samaritans, we really want to help the branch keep going every year by holding our annual football tournament. Over the last 2 years we have raised over £8,000 for the branch and this year we hope to add to this figure once again.

The Colchester branch of Samaritans first opened its doors in May 1964, supporting the community in Colchester and the surrounding areas. They currently have over 100 listening volunteers, some having been with them for over 40 years. They are open for around 70% of the hours in a week including through the night, supporting callers who contact suffering with emotional distress and despair.

Like all branches they rely entirely on donations from the public and other organisations. Your donations will help them stay open year-round.
