Story
On Sunday the 17th of May I will begin a journey like no other, a journey I am making to raise money for cancer research.
I will be walking approximately 110 miles from bridge 82 on the Montgomery canal along our beautiful canals to Manchester where on the 31st of May, I will be completing a further grueling challenge of which you will find out more later... However there is a somewhat large twist..
I will be doing every step with 2 x 20kg kettle bells, It will take me approximately 12 days to get from Bridge 82 on the Montgomery Canal to Manchester! I will be doing approximately 10 miles per day.
In June 2022 I lost my incredible father to cancer, with the kindest soul and amazing personality he was the best Dad I could have ever wished for. I know he will be with me every stride I take, so that’s why I’m starting in a place closest to his heart, a few yards south of bridge 82 where his memorial bench was placed. It’s going to be an emotional one but.. knowing it’s going to raise money to help research ways to prevent anyone else loosing their loved ones means so much.
I also lost my Uncle Chris, we lost Simon, and my lovely friend Laura because of this abhorrent disease, it’s too late to save them, but it isn’t too late to save you or to save someone you love and care about.
I’m doing this...for you, for your family, your friends, i would walk a thousand miles if I knew it would save just one of you, so please, follow my journey, and support me over the coming months by spreading the word, donating what ever you can, this is not going to be easy but to me, you are all worth every. Single. Step.
