Save the Children exists to help every child reach their full potential. In the UK and around the world, we make sure children stay safe, healthy and keep learning, so they can become who they want to be. Your donation will help vulnerable children wherever the need is greatest.

Story

8RHD are on a social action mission to save the children! As part of the First Give charity fundraising event at Tonyrefail Community School, our registration class will be walking 60 miles around the local community during registration and wellbeing sessions, in a bid to raise awareness and money for a cause they have identified as a social need.

Save the Children’s ambition is a world in which every child has the right to survive, learn, and be protected. They support children to transform their lives by putting children’s rights at the core of their work. They tackle major issues that can hold children back—such as poverty and inequality—while calling on leaders to stand up for them.

Save the Children is committed to making a positive, lasting difference for children and has supported some of our own registration group pupils individually. This is why we want to help. All donations will support vulnerable children wherever the need is greatest.

All social action undertaken will be evidenced and shared at the First Give final, where a panel of judges will award the winning class—who have completed the most social action in the community—with £1,000 for their chosen charity.

Of course, 8RHD hopes to win the £1,000 for our chosen charity, Save the Children. However, regardless of the competition’s outcome, we are grateful for any donation, big or small, which will go directly to Save the Children via this JustGiving page.

Diolch yn fawr in advance,

8RHD
