9SG's Sponsored Switch-Off for the Rob Hill Foundation!

E Honeyman is raising money for The Rob Hill Foundation

Sponsored Switch-Off! · 2 June 2026

The Rob Hill Foundation empowers individuals to break free from addiction and mental health struggles through free support programmes, practical workshops, online tools and community outreach. We deliver the proven “Beat My Addictions” method, host support groups across London, and reach vulnerable people through initiatives like our rucksack campaign—providing hope, dignity and lasting change.

Story

Over the next week, 9SG are taking part in a screen reduction/detox to experience and understand what it's like to give up something we're addicted to. We realised that we don't go anywhere without our phones and can't go a day without going on social media. So, we have challenged ourselves to minimise our screen-time as much as possible, from the 1st of June to the 8th, inspiring others to reflect upon their own habits and consider positive alternatives.

We are doing this to raise awareness and fundraise for The Rob Hill foundation, who are a wonderful charity supporting anyone beating any addiction or struggling with their mental health.

Before this week, our entire classes screentime amounted to 1187 hours. After the challenge our screen time was reduced to just 177 hours!

During this week we want to decrease our screentime as much as possible by replacing our online activities with productive alternatives such as ; spending time with family, meeting friends face to face, going out to get more exercise, revising, reading and more.

We would love for you to sponsor us so we can all support this amazing charity.
