Story
9th 15th Leigh Scout troop are swapping their beds and tents for woodland ‘Lavvu’ shelters and surviving to raise vital funds for the RBLI this March.
The scouts will have to prepare and cook for themselves, look after their own shelter braving the cold wet weather, organise equipment and use basic woodland materials to keep a fire going to keep warm and cook over 24hrs.
This will go towards their chief scout gold award as well as their camping, nights away and survival skills badges.
We are swapping our beds for sleeping bags to raise awareness and vital fund for over 6000 veterans that are experiencing homelessness in the UK right now.
With every penny raised, Royal British Legion Industries can provide safe, warm housing and ensure everyone has a fair opportunity to gain employment, regardless of health conditions or disability.
Please help us to raise much needed funds for this incredible cause. The more money raised, the more people we can support. It really is that simple.
