Story
Our dear friend Russell Weblin-Grimsley sadly passed away in May following a short battle with a brain tumour. He was so full of life and joy and had a huge involvement in the local community, leaving many many friends to miss him.
Paul Sartori were wonderful and enabled Russ to spend his last days at home with his family. So incredibly important to all of them.
So we have revived the Pembrokeshire Dawn Walk (we first started it 22 years ago!) and now we will have an 8, 13 or 20 mile walk around the lanes of Pembrokeshire starting and finishing at Russ's local pub, in order to remember him and raise money for this fantastic charity.
PSF was initiated in May 1981 by a group of Father Paul Sartori’s parishioners, a much loved local priest, who died at the age of 38 in 1980. The Foundation was set up as Father Sartori had recognised a need for hospice care in Pembrokeshire, but unfortunately he became ill himself and died from cancer before the Foundation was formed. Despite these origins, PSF has no religious affiliations and services have always been available to all, its mission is "to provide sustainable services which promote good end of life care in Pembrokeshire"
