Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Most of you will know that after 18 months of training, I passed my final assessment in March to become a fully operational member of Edale Mountain Rescue Team. Whilst this was a significant personal achievement, my direct involvement has opened my eyes to the truly remarkable and vital role that this organisation plays. Edale Mountain Rescue Team is celebrating its 70th anniversary this year and is one of the oldest and busiest teams in England and Wales. In 2025 we responded to over 160 callouts ranging from fallen climbers, horse riders, mountain and road cyclists to lost and vulnerable people, hang gliders and para gliders.

On 9th May 2026 I will be setting off from St Bees in Cumbria to walk 182 miles to Robin Hood’s Bay to raise funds for Edale Mountain Rescue. It costs well over £100,000 a year to keep the Team operational, so I hope that you will sponsor me on my Coast to Coast journey.
