Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. This is my fifteenth fundraising campaign (we've raised over £72,000 together MA, you AMAZING people) and it's just as important as ever for me to ensure the money I ask you to donate is fully spent on those in need. As always I've thought about which charity I should support this year and after more research and discussion about the needs in Syria, I have decided to work with a charity called Endless Medical Advantage, founded by Syrian Doctor Feras Alghadban in 2018, who has found 90% of the current population are living under the poverty line.
A HUGE thanks to everyone who donated and helped me raise over £10,450 to support 13 orphaned families from Syria, displaced in Mafraq, Jordan last year. THANK YOU!
**THIS YEAR in 2025, with your support, we will buy an ultrasound machine, fix an anaesthesia machine, and provide a month's worth of medication for a mobile healthcare clinic.**
Endless Medical Advantage, a registered charity, founded by a Syrian refugees, assessed current needs in Syria since the fall of the regime; they looked at food security, healthcare, and education. They are currently distributing hot food via a community kitchen and supporting the health infrastructure by running health mobile clinics. They have been running mobile clinics in Lebanon and are relocating the model in Syria in the most isolated and hard to reach areas where medical facilities are no longer available. All staff are Syrian.
They will start in the countryside of Damascus where hospitals are near collapse to provide resources, medical supplies and build infrastructure so they can run at 100% capacity again.
They are raising money to establish the first mobile medical clinic. The focus is on most urgent and essential needs and that is general food security and healthcare access. People are often travelling over 50km to get to a hospital because their nearest hospital doesn’t have a working ultrasound or there is only one working operating room available in the local area. The idea is to provide, safe and basic helthcare.
We are raising money for a hospital in al Zabadani, towards buying:
1. A used ultrasound machine for $3000-4000 (see photo below)
2. Fixing an existing anaesthesia machine by buying a part costing $2000 (see photo below)
3. The mobile clinic will mean Syrians don’t have to pay for a consultation fee and also get free medication. All of this is no longer an option to 85% of the communities. $3000 is needed a month for all medications.
Total = $9000 / £7000
NGO registration with Syria is in place too.

MORE ABOUT THE CHARITY
“Endless Medical Advantage (EMA) is a refugee-led, community-based medical organisation providing health services and humanitarian relief to refugees and vulnerable communities. Led by a team of medical professionals with experience of displacement and exile themselves, we respond to community needs with cultural awareness and sensitivity, and are able to navigate systemic constraints and adapt quickly in emergency situations. For many, EMA is the only affordable and easily accessible health service available for people who have experienced displacement, hardship and loss.
EMA was founded in 2018 by Dr Feras Alghadban, a Syrian doctor who came to Lebanon as a refugee. Over the years, he developed his mobile clinic into an organisation providing sustainable healthcare and humanitarian relief support to the refugee populations and vulnerable communities in Central and West Bekaa. From the start, the idea was to actively seek out and involve community residents, as community ownership is a fundamental component for sustainable humanitarian activities.
EMA IN LEBANON
EMA has operated for over six years now in Central and West Bekaa, a region that is home to almost half a million Syrian refugees who are mostly living in canvas tented camps or in basic shared housing. Over the past years, EMA has expanded its services from the initial seven camps to now over 50 camps across three geographical areas, providing direct access to the organisation's services with a target reach for approximately 75,000 beneficiaries from both the refugee and host communities.
Our core project is a mobile clinic, the only one operating in the area, which reaches those in need of medical assistance in the camps and beyond, with free or subsidised care provided by community-based medical professionals. Currently, the mobile clinic is running in confined form due to restrictions.
As we expanded our mobile medical services in the community, we also identified gaps in the wider healthcare sector in Lebanon. We have developed a holistic approach to health services - as we aim to address physical, mental and social well-being, recognising the importance of all aspects of life in improving overall quality of life.
Apart from crucial medical services, we run a dental clinic, physiotherapy programme (currently paused), mental health & psychosocial support, and aid & relief support. As part of these services, we have been able to provide rent relief, livelihood support, food security and financial assistance for life saving medical treatments. Over the years, we were also able to engage the community in public health education and awareness projects such as first aid courses and awareness sessions about infectious diseases.
EMA IN SYRIA
As an organisation, we have always supported those most vulnerable and in need. We go where the need is. With EMA, Dr Feras and the team want to be part of the journey to rebuild Syria. We want to support where needed, to allow people to come back to a country where hope thrives.”
