I am cycling from London to Paris for Wirral Hospice St John’s!

We lost my beautiful wife, Nicky, in early 2025 to a rare cancer. She was only 53 years old.

Nicky was a dedicated Mum to our two boys, and a doting Nanny to our granddaughter. She was also a very popular member of St George’s Primary School staff, dedicated to the children in her care.

In her last weeks of life, my wife was cared for at Wirral Hospice St John’s. The care she received was exceptional — the staff ensured Nicky was as comfortable as possible and every effort was made to support and comfort the family through this very traumatic time.

Upon finding out that it was our wedding anniversary, staff put up banners and balloons and provided a special meal. The compassion and dedication shown to my wife and our family was incredible and we found great comfort from this.

I am proud to be representing Wirral Hospice St John’s on the London to Paris Cycling Challenge in July this year.
