Story
On Sunday, 12th April, I’ll be hosting a walk to raise funds for Venezuela’s most vulnerable communities through Care Venezuela: https://carevenezuela.org.uk/our-programmes/
🇻🇪 Venezuela is still facing a deep and ongoing humanitarian crisis with limited access to food, healthcare and supplies for large parts of the population. Charities like Care Venezuela aim to fill those gaps by providing direct help to people who are struggling day-to-day.
I chose this date because it would have been my mum’s 80th birthday. She had a big heart and believed in helping others, and I know she would have loved the idea of people coming together to support vulnerable communities in Venezuela in her name. 🌹

*What Care Venezuela is*
Care Venezuela is a small UK-registered charity (Charity No. 1194266) set up by Venezuelan volunteers to support the most vulnerable people in Venezuela. It raises funds and sends them to local partners on the ground who are meeting urgent needs there.
*What your donations help with*
Funds and supplies go toward things like:
- Basic food, medicines and hygiene products for families in need
- Support for care homes, medical dispensaries, community kitchens, and organisations working with children and the elderly
- Solar-rechargeable lights for areas with frequent power outages
- Helping local NGOs run nutrition, healthcare, and other essential programmes in remote communities that otherwise have little access to these basics

*The Walk* 🚶🏼♀️🚶🏼🧒🏼 🐕
🗓️ Sunday, 12th of April 2026
📍 Meeting point: Finsbury Park
⏱️ Time: 12:45 welcome, intros and kick-off. The walk starts promptly at 1! (Duration: aprox 2 hours)
👣 Route: The Parkland Walk, London's longest linear nature reserve, spanning 4km (roughly 2.5–3 miles) along a former railway line connecting Finsbury Park to Alexandra Palace.
If you’d like to join, I’m inviting friends (and families!) to donate and walk with us. If you can’t make it, you’re very welcome to simply donate instead. Every contribution will go directly to the charity.
It would mean a lot to have you there — whether walking beside us or supporting from afar. 🤍
