At Ansar Ventures, we’re proud to be working with young people from our very own town to establish Luton’s first-ever Endowment Fund — a lasting initiative to help, support, and strengthen our community.

This term, our students have been learning about the purpose and benefits of endowments, as well as the principles of ethical investing. They’ve also had the privilege of hearing from inspiring guest speakers who shared valuable advice on how to make this project a success.

As a result, our students have come up with creative and exciting ways to raise funds for the endowment. On Saturday, 22nd November, they’ll be hosting a food stall, running a 1km three-legged race, and offering a car wash — all to support this meaningful cause.

What is an Endowment and what benefit will it bring?

An endowment is a fund of money or assets that is invested to provide income over time, usually for a specific purpose. At Ansar we aim to create the endowment fund, and use it to invest into our town to bring about positive and long lasting change. Some of the causes we will be supporting are The Luton FoodBank, Employment, Housing to name a few.
