We are a Dentist and Dental Nurse from Somerset, who are travelling to Eastern Kenya with The Akamba Aid Fund (AAF) in March 2027 to provide Dentistry in rural Kenyan communities. AAF are a local independent small charity founded in 2000 to provide health, education and clean water to remote areas including those in poverty and with additional needs. We aim to provide relief from pain and infection and to help educate the community in good oral hygiene, as well as educating the nurses in the medical centre to provide basic dental care.

Many members of the community will have never had access to a dentist and we aim to help AAF begin to provide dental care. We are fund raising to buy and take dental instruments and equipment to the medical centre, with the aim to kick start a small dental clinic that we hope will grow in the upcoming years, and encourage other Dental professionals to help in our mission.
