UPDATE: I have today (30 August 2024) made the intention to complete a charity walk on Saturday, 31 August at Carding Mill Valley to help raise funds for this cause. I'm no walker, I do not enjoy getting in daily steps. But this one is for my people in Bangladesh!
Devastating floods have affected 5.2 million people and killed 20 people so far. Relentless monsoon rains have caused rivers to burst their banks, overwhelming communities with floodwater. 400,000 people have been forced to flee their homes across 11 districts.
Help us to provide:
£74 – provides nutritious food to two families
£44 – provides fodder to feed the animals of two farming families.
£32 – provides a hygiene kit to two families.
Vast areas of Bangladesh have been submerged by floods, affecting more than 5 million people. Many have seen their homes, farms, and businesses inundated. Flooding poses grave dangers, including the spread of disease, sewage overflows, contaminated drinking water, and the risk of landslides and further disasters.
