Story

Aaron - Back in 2020 we sadly lost Katie's dad to AML. After a short but brave battle, Mike succumbed to the Leukaemia in a matter of weeks after being diagnosed.

Having turned 40 this year and never having actually challenged myself to running any sort of distance, this seemed like a fitting opportunity to do so and raise some money in memory of a great man.

We are aiming to raise £400 (£10 for every year I have been around the sun).

Katie - my poor and wonderful dad is sadly no longer with us due to his short fight to Acute Myeloid Leukaemia, only 3 weeks after diagnosis during lockdown. A very difficult time for all of us and a huge shock that is still very sad and surreal. Aaron and I will be running 14km in Bristol on 18th September in memory of my legend of a dad and to raise awareness of AML. This will be a challenge to both of us with very busy lives! Any donation, however small I'd greatly appreciated! Thank you! Xx

Cure Leukaemia is is a wonderful charity, very close to our hearts and they do fantastic work to raise very much needed money and support to people who are suffering this awful disease.

We are also joining Cure Leukaemia Chief Executive James McLaughlin as part of his Tour of the TAP, as he takes on 14 km runs around each of the 15 Trials Acceleration Programme (TAP) Centres that we fund across just 10 days.
