We’ve decided that running a half marathon in our 40's is a good idea even though none of us are particularly keen runners. Training has meant early mornings, sore legs, and more miles than we ever imagined.

Thankfully, we have plenty of grit (and stubbornness) which is useful when the motivation disappears somewhere around mile 9 (so I've heard) 😳

We've watched from the sidelines all our lives and never had a dry eye whilst cheering on the thousands of runners hoping one day we would have the courage (mainly ability) to finally register.

We’re doing this for those we’ve lost, for those still fighting, and for the many people who will face a breast cancer diagnosis in the future. Every step is for something bigger than the finish line.

Please share any words of wisdom to carry us through like "finish line not finish time" to help us pace ourselves and for Rach to not get too competitive with the 70 year old racing past.
