Red Run 2023 · 25 November 2023 ·

Controlling Chemsex is a charity created and run by professionals with long experience providing Chemsex support, many of whom have struggled with Chemsex in the past themselves. We are here to provide a new kind of Chemsex intervention to reinforce the support that is currently available, using new technologies to facilitate access to support for everybody, in order to make things as easy as possible for people who find it really difficult to access support, and respecting the fact that confidentiality is highly important for them.

Story

Hi folks.

Joe and I have decided to run the Red Run 2023 10k this year for World AIDS Day. We are doing 10k in support of HIV/AIDS charities.

This year we are running for Controlling Chemsex, a small grass roots organisation supporting people who have problems with chemsex.

This is a problem affecting a huge amount of people I work with, potentially ruining lives and is key to address in order to reduce onwards HIV transmissions.

I've also worked very closely with the team over the years and know that they are some of the most compassionate, hard working people I know, and they can do a lot with even just a little.

I know there's a lot going on right now, and many people will have donated lots to other causes already, though anything small would still be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!
