Aaron and Jon here, founders of Bodyboard Escapes.

When we started this journey we always said we wanted to do a few things other than delivering bodyboard trips. We always said we wanted to plan a fundraising event each year to raise funds to help promote blue health. I guess we’ve always been lucky enough to have opportunities to get in the ocean and more recently the wavepool in Bristol. This is why we’ve chosen City Kids Surfing as our charity, they help young children in London to connect with the ocean and waves.

So here we are, event one, pier to pier paddle from Boscombe pier to Bournemouth pier and back, approximately 2 miles, on any surf craft, everyone’s welcome and let’s make a fun day of it.

We’ll also be putting on a BBQ for the paddlers along with a beach clean.

We know times are tough at the moment but a small amount to help these children experience the ocean is massively appreciated and we thankyou ❤️
