Story
At the end of August to the beginning of September, me and Ryan will be taking on two challenges- the Yorkshire Three Peaks and the National Three Peaks, all within one month, in memory of Jack Borrington, an incredible friend and my fiancé’s cousin.
Jack was the kind of person who made life brighter. He had an adventurous soul, a brilliant sense of humour, and a fearless love for exploring the world. His outlook on life was inspiring- always positive, always present. Jack’s strength and spirit continue to drive us, and this challenge is one way to honour him.
To celebrate his life and raise money for Leukaemia UK, I’ll be tackling:
🥾 The Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge:
• 24 miles
• 1,585m (5,200ft) of ascent
• All completed in under 12 hours
(Pen-y-Ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough)
⛰️ The National Three Peaks Challenge:
• 26 miles hiking
• 13 hours of driving between mountains
• All completed within 24 hours
(Climbing Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon — a total of over 10,000ft elevation)
That’s over 50 miles and 6 mountains, all for a cause that means the world.
Every penny raised will go to Leukaemia UK, helping to fund life-changing research and support for those affected by blood cancer. If you’re able to donate, share, or cheer me on, it would mean so much.
Let’s do this for Jack. Let’s climb high, love hard, and make a difference.
Thank you🙏🏻
