Being involved in a local project with in the area of South Gloucestershire, Abbey Electrical (Swindon) Limited, always aim to give support to a local charity. The Charity chosen is South Gloucester Youth Housing. We believe all young people/adults who may be struggling with aspects of their life have someone to reach out to. The Ladies at Abbey will be getting together to walk 5k along the Ridgeway on Saturday 9th November 2024, we hope friends, clients of Abbey would love to donate to such a good cause.

What does SGYH do?

SGYH aim is to provide a stable living environment for homeless young people in order, for them to develop and gain independence. To foster both self-reliance and a sense of community for all young people to support. Through encouragement, support and guidance, help young people to seek and obtain sustainable meaningful activities.

SGYH manage two training flats in partnership with South Gloucester Councils Children’s Services. These provide young people in care to have the opportunity to experience living in a secure and safe environment.

SGYH manage a 10 Bed shared house providing temporary supported accommodation for single, young people aged between 18 and 24 years old. The property is owned by Places for People, but is managed by SGYH staff.
