Story

On Saturday the 24th of June 2023, two very brave friends and I will be attempting to walk the Lyke Wake Walk in 24 hours - a 40-mile challenge with 5,000 foot of ascent across the North Yorkshire Moors!

We’re doing this in aid of Leeds Mencap, an amazing charity which works to improve the lives and opportunities of children and adults with a learning disability and their families and carers.

From teaching new skills to those with a learning disability to helping them find their independence, the charity is a lifeline to many families in the Leeds area.

Although we’ve completed a number of training walks, this challenge will be no mean feet but we will be spurred on knowing we’re raising money for such a worthy cause.

Please donate if you are able to, any amount will be greatly appreciated.
