Story
As most of you will know my Dad, Cris was diagnosed with brain cancer in December 2025. The type of tumour is Glioblastoma - a horrible, bastard of a cancer.
He has been so amazing throughout all of this. He had brain surgery which removed all visible tumour, radiotherapy and is having ongoing chemotherapy. And we hope with everything that it doesn't come back for as long as possible!
So much of this type of cancer and brain tumours are just out of your control and when your loved one has it you can feel helpless but this is something I can do for him and all other people impacted by brain tumours and brain cancer.
So I am doing the Royal Parks Half Marathon to raise money for the Brain Tumour Charity!
The treatment for glioblastoma's hasn't changed in years. It still has a poor outcome for people with it and is still terminal. We need a cure and new treatments so that one day people like my brilliant Dad can get better.
The Brain Tumour Charity is the world's leading brain tumour charity and the largest dedicated funder of research into brain tumours globally. Committed to saving and improving lives, we're moving further, faster to help every single person affected by a brain tumour.
