Berlin Half Marathon · 6 April 2025

Far too many of us have felt the pain of losing someone we love. With your donations, we power groundbreaking cardiovascular research to save and improve lives, bring hope to families, and keep hearts beating across the UK.

Story

In April 2025, I will be running the Berlin Half Marathon in memory of my Dad, Mark Evans. My sister, Hannah, will also be running the Ibiza Half Marathon the same weekend!

On the 13th of June 2022, our lives were changed forever. My Dad suffered a massive heart attack while at work and his heart stopped. We never got to say goodbye.

Our Dad was the most incredible person and so loved by everyone around him. He was kind, funny, generous and he is missed every single day by everyone who knew him.

We are also running this race in memory of our uncle Paul, who we lost to the same cruel disease. Both were amazing men who were taken far too soon.

We are running this race for them and for the British Heart Foundation. We will never get our Dad back but by supporting the BHF, we hope to help spare others what our family has been through. Your support — whether it’s through a donation or sharing this page — means more than I can express.

Thank you for helping us honour our Dad's memory,

Abbie and Hannah x
