Story
In April, Charlie and I will be running the London Landmarks Half Marathon in memory of our deeply missed Llion.
Following a post-mortem and examination of Llion’s heart through the charity Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY), we learned that he died from Mitral Valve Prolapse — a condition that can be detected through a simple echocardiogram. Tragically, Llion showed no symptoms during his life that would have suggested he had a heart condition that could prove fatal - he was 30 years old.
That is why we want to help CRY raise awareness and support their work in screening as many young people as possible. These screenings can detect hidden heart conditions early and could save a young person’s life.
By supporting CRY, we hope to help prevent another family from experiencing the devastating loss that ours has faced.
Any donation, no matter how small, would mean the world and will go towards CRY’s life-saving screening and research. Thank you so much for your support.
