We are thrilled to announce an upcoming charity event on Tuesday 28th May, that holds a special place in our hearts: this year, Hyde United Academy are enhancing our collaboration with Jamie Horrocks Trust to raise money and awareness of the charity, whilst giving our students an opportunity to showcase their football skills in a penalty shoot out.
All proceeds from the event will be donated to a Jamie Horrocks Trust, who are dedicated to raising funds for community-based projects that reduce the risks of, and support those affected by mental fitness and suicide, to bring about positive changes for all.
The trust has been set up in memory of Jamie Horrocks who took his own life on May 30th 2013, aged 36. Therefore, we would encourage all to donate and help us commemorate the 11th Anniversary of the charity and celebrate the importance of raising awareness.
