Story
I’m running the Brentwood Half Marathon in support of Saint Francis Hospice 🧡
I lost my beautiful mum on 16th September 2025, and I can’t speak highly enough of the care and compassion Saint Francis Hospice gave her at home following her diagnosis in April 2025. They were incredible with mum, and they’ve also been an amazing source of support for me and my sister Ella — both during that time and continuing now.
Most people assume I’m a runner… I’m really not 😂
I actually only started running consistently a couple of weeks before Mum’s diagnosis, as I was trying to get fitter to climb Kilimanjaro in September. But running quickly became my escape through an incredibly difficult period. I’ve never run this far before, but this feels like the right moment to challenge myself for a cause so close to my heart. It’s also what’s getting me out of bed and moving during these tough winter months.
If you’re able to donate, no matter how small, it would mean so much to me and help Saint Francis Hospice continue the amazing work they do for families like mine.
Thank you for reading, supporting, and remembering my mum 🧡
