Story
My Dad suffered from a brain tumour diagnosis in December 2018, this then lead to brain surgery in April 2019 and radiotherapy in the August. All these treatments combined got rid of the brain tumour, but this isn't then the end of the road 7 years later as the effects of the tumour still affect my dad's everyday life and ultimately the tumour could return at anytime.
UPDATE: Sometimes life is shit, in this case my dad’s brain tumour has returned 7 years later and is scheduled for brain surgery again in the coming weeks - likely around the date of the GNR. This is exactly the reason research and fundraising is needed in order to find a cure - if anything is motivating me to complete the GNR it’s this 🩷
As a reminded:
- Brain tumours kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer… yet just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this devastating disease. This is unacceptable!
- I am fundraising for Brain Tumour Research as they are the only national charity dedicated to funding long-term, sustainable research in the UK. Please help me fund the fight. Together we will find a cure.
