Story
I am running the London Marathon 2027 for the charity CCLG: The Children & Young People’s Cancer Association, in memory of Elyse Foster.
Elyse was one of those people who made life a lot brighter just by being in it. She was always full of life and was always spending time with her loved ones. She has left behind so many happy memories and she truly is missed.
After being diagnosed with thymoma, a rare type of cancer, Elyse underwent surgery but tragically passed away. She was taken far too soon and her loss has been felt by everyone who knew and loved her.
Although Elyse was my friend, she was also my sister’s best friend. Watching the impact her death has had on my sister, and on everyone close to Elyse, showed me just how deeply she was loved. She wasn’t just someone’s daughter, sister or friend but she was a huge part of so many people’s lives.
I’m running the London Marathon to honour Elyse’s memory and to raise money for CCLG, whose work helps fund research into childhood and young people’s cancers. I know it will be hard but I am doing it for Elyse and for every family facing the unimaginable.
If you’re able to donate, no matter the amount, I’d be incredibly grateful. Your support will help fund life changing research and give hope to more young people and their families.
Thank you for supporting me, remembering Elyse, and helping to make a difference. ❤️
