Salam, A few friends and I have partnered with the charity Muslim Welfare Institute (MWI) and will be travelling to Albania on 19th July to carry out a meaningful humanitarian mission. Our goal is to raise £5,000 to provide and personally distribute clothes and gifts to orphans across several regions, including Tirana, Elbasan, Korçë, Pogradec, and Belsh.

The Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) said:

“The most beloved people to Allah are those who are most beneficial to others.”

(Hadith – Al-Mu’jam al-Awsat)

As Muslims, it is our duty to support and uplift those most in need. This project aims to bring joy and comfort to vulnerable children by giving them essential items and thoughtful gifts. Each gift costs between £5 and £10, yet the happiness it brings is immeasurable. Imagine the smile on a child’s face upon receiving a small token of care and compassion in the midst of hardship.

The Prophet (ﷺ) also said:

“Whoever relieves a believer’s distress, Allah will relieve his distress on the Day of Judgment.”

(Sahih Muslim)
