Mayor Councillor Charlie McCoubrey's Flying High For CRY · 4 May 2024

Cardiac Risk in the Young Verified by JustGiving
RCN 1050845 (England & Wales), SC052581 (Scotland)
Each week at least twelve young people in the UK die suddenly as a result of undiagnosed heart conditions. At Cardiac Risk In the Young we aim to save young lives & to help those affected by young sudden cardiac death (YSCD). We do this by providing support, information & screening those affected.

Story

Mayor Councillor Charlie McCoubrey is taking on a series of white-knuckle challenges to raise funds for CRY in memory of his nephew.

On Saturday 4th May 2024 he will be grappling with Zip World's Velocity, Aero Explorer, Forest Coaster, and Caverns.

CRY were chosen as The Mayor's Charity for 2023/2024.

Every week in the UK at least 12 apparently fit and healthy young people die of undiagnosed cardiac conditions.

With your donation, CRY can reduce the frequency of young sudden cardiac death (YSCD) by working with cardiologists and family doctors to establish good practice and appropriate screening facilities to promote and protect the cardiac health of our young.

By supporting CRY you will help save young lives from these potentially fatal cardiac conditions.
