The much-loved Abersoch RNLI New Year’s Day Dip is back – will you be taking the plunge? This event is kindly sponsored by Vimto.

Start the New Year with a splash and help save lives at sea by joining hundreds of fellow dippers as we brave the chilly North Wales waters in support of the RNLI. Every penny raised will help our lifeboat crews continue their lifesaving work around our coasts.

The theme for anyone wanting to participate in fancy dress theme is “Fairytale Characters”.

How to fundraise

Once you’ve registered, click the ‘Start Fundraising’ button on the event page to create your fundraising page. Then ask friends, family and colleagues to sponsor your dip. Event details

Participants should assemble on Abersoch Main Beach from 11.00am for registration and check-in. At 12 noon, dippers will enter the sea together under the guidance of RNLI crew members, local Coastguard teams and event volunteers.

After completing the challenge, participants can collect their commemorative medal before heading to the Yacht Club or local village venues to enjoy well-earned food and refreshments.

The event is open to all ages and is a fantastic way to celebrate the start of the New Year while supporting a great cause.
