Story
As many of my friends and family know, CancerCare North Lancashire & South Cumbria has been a beacon of hope and strength throughout my personal cancer journey. Now, as more members of our family seek support following the sudden loss of my Mum to pancreatic cancer on 1st May, I am reminded more than ever of the vital role this charity plays in our community.
CancerCare is not just a local cancer and bereavement charity; it is a lifeline that empowers people to rediscover their capacity for life during the most challenging times. Through professional help, emotional support, and the collective strength of those who care, CancerCare helps individuals face whatever comes next with courage and resilience. However, this invaluable support depends heavily on the generosity of people like you—over 90% of CancerCare's work is funded by donations, fundraising efforts, and gifts in Wills.
I am honoured, excited (and a bit nervous!) to be participating in CancerCare's Cross Bay Walk 2026 on 21 June 2026 to raise funds for this incredible cause. By joining me or supporting my efforts, you can help ensure that others facing cancer or bereavement have access to the same compassionate care that helped me through my toughest times. Together, we can make a difference—please donate or get involved today and help light the way for those who need it most.
