In February 2025, I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer - a completely unexpected diagnosis.

Since then, I’ve undergone two operations and radiotherapy. I’ll also be on medication for the rest of my life. It’s been a tough journey so far - physically and mentally - but I know I’m one of the lucky ones as my type of cancer is highly curable.

That’s only possible because of research.

It’s through groundbreaking work like that done by The Institute of Cancer Research that treatments are improving, outcomes are getting better and more people can find hope in the face of an unimaginable diagnosis.

That’s why I’m running the London Marathon - to not only prove to myself that this setback won’t hold me back, but to also hopefully help fund the next breakthrough.
