I am running with a small group of parents from Redland Green School, Bristol. We are trying to raise funds for playground furniture so students can enjoy their outside space during lunch and break time which helps student's mental health and encourage our young people to get fresh air between lessons. A lot of my training runs I have done with my widowed mum's dog Bella. Unexpectedly Bella passed away on Wednesday 8th May so I will also be running in memory of a wonderful family pet dog who has been such a companion to my mum as she nursed my Dad for five years before he died, comfort through COVID and loss of my nephew Jakob (aged 10 weeks). Pets definitely help with mental health and as we are raising money for creating better outside areas for our young people at RGS I thought it was fitting to add a memory here. Sunday 19th May the day of the Bristol Half marathon would of been Bella's birthday. Please support me... Thank you!
