Story
On July 12th 2026 I will be attempting my first ever triathlon - the “stunning but savage” Croyde Ocean Triathlon! This includes a 1.5 km ocean swim, followed by a hilly 38 km cycle, and a hilly 12 km trail run to finish up. It’s apparently dubbed as being one of the most challenging Olympic distance triathlons in the UK/world(???); an interesting fact I learnt only after signing myself up.
I will be raising money for 2 very special charities and splitting all donations 50/50: Earth Action North Devon and The Brain Tumour Charity.
Earth Action North Devon are an amazing local charity connected to the triathlon that are improving and protecting the environment in North Devon by tackling plastic pollution through community action.
The Brain Tumour Charity is a cause a little closer to home. As many of you know in 2024 my amazing dad passed away after battling brain cancer. We miss him greatly. The Brain Tumour Charity is the world's leading brain tumour charity and funds research into treatments as well as supporting people impacted by the condition.

Any donations no matter how much will be so greatly appreciated. Thank you!
