James and I will each be taking on the challenge of covering 60 miles this September to raise money for Bliss, the leading UK charity for babies born prematurely.

It felt fitting to take part, given that this time last year we spent weeks in the NICU at Addenbrookes. With Poppy's first birthday coming up, we wanted to give something back for the incredible care we received during those first few weeks of her life.

You never expect to have your baby early, and those first weeks are definitely a jump-start into parenthood. We feel so lucky to have been surrounded by amazing people, and that we left the NICU with a healthy, happy baby.

Bliss is the leading UK charity for babies born premature or sick. They rely on donations to fund their work, and without our help they won't be able to reach the 90,000 babies needing neonatal care each year.

Your donation to my page will help Bliss to drive improvements in neonatal care, to ensure that the needs of babies are at the heart of policy and planning for the future, and to provide information and support to all families with a baby born premature or sick.
